As of July 1, 2022, all short-term rental activity is prohibited throughout Rancho Mirage in every zone of the city. A short-term rental is defined as any dwelling unit, in whole or in part, rented for 27 consecutive calendar days or less. Advertising, offering for rent, or agreeing to rent a short-term rental is also prohibited, regardless of whether the property is actually occupied.

Rancho Mirage does not currently require a specific short-term rental license to operate.
Enforcement
