Short-term rentals are prohibited on any property within the City of Irvine's residential zones, as well as any other zoning district where residential uses are a permitted or conditionally permitted use. A short-term rental is defined as a rental of a dwelling unit (or part of one) for a period of 30 consecutive calendar days or less. Advertising of short-term rentals is also prohibited.
