HostReadyAny property rented or offered for rent in the Town of Barnstable (including Hyannis) must register annually with the Board of Health under Chapter 170 Rental Properties. Short-term rentals must also register with the Massachusetts Department of Revenue. Proposed local general and zoning ordinances specifically regulating short-term rentals were withdrawn by the Town Council on November 5, 2020.
