As of May 13, 2025, the Eagle County Board of Commissioners decided NOT to create a county-level STR ordinance. Regulations for short-term rentals in unincorporated Eagle County will continue to be left to metro districts and HOAs to implement their own ordinances. The previously proposed ordinance would have applied only to properties in unincorporated Eagle County.
