Under the proposed draft regulations, short-term rentals would not be permitted in any single-family residential district. In most other zoning districts, short-term rentals would be permitted with restrictions, including a 1% cap on residential units and a minimum 1,000-foot spacing requirement between them. Separate, less restrictive rules would apply to hosted homestays in owner-occupied homes, which would not be subject to the 1% cap or spacing requirements.
