Collingwood, ON Short-Term Rental Regulations (2026)
As of February 1, 2024, Collingwood launched Phase 1 of its Short-Term Accommodation (STA) Licensing Program, which currently only licenses bed and breakfasts under 'Class A – Guest Room Short-Term Accommodation' licences. All other short-term accommodations (rentals of 30 consecutive calendar days or less) remain prohibited in Town. Future licence classes for other types of STAs are subject to Council approval and a necessary Zoning By-law Amendment.
Licensing and Permits
Collingwood requires hosts to obtain an STR license or permit before listing their property on platforms like Airbnb or VRBO.
