On May 12, 2026, Boise City Council approved the repeal of the city's short-term rental ordinance to align with changes in Idaho state law. Effective May 18, 2026, a City of Boise short-term rental license is no longer required. The City will continue enforcing applicable nuisance, noise, parking, safety, occupancy, and other regulations consistent with state law and city code.
